Okay....it has been a while since I posted anything. I created this blog spot with the intention of updating it every week. Sometimes intentions only go so far. I have so much to say and a limited audience and time span with which to share. You see, Scott works full time and is in his last summer semester of his MBA, will take a Fall semester and will graduate Dec. 14 (or there about). I thought it would be perfect to share our life with you. So I will attempt to further update this spot more often. :)
Yesterday, Tuesday, July 10, 2007, our baby turned 17 weeks in utero. So far, all is well with my 2nd pregnancy. I can't wait to start feeling him kick and move around. Sometimes I think I feel him (and probably do), but the movement is so sporadic that I convince myself I didn't feel anything. I can't wait for it to be more constant so I know.
Backtracking a little....I keep calling this baby a "he". We found out on June 29, 2007 (at 15 weeks - totally amazing) that we will be having a boy! What a shocker that day was! We went in for what a supposed to be a routine visit (look at the heartbeat on the sonogram, see our baby moving, measure....that's about it) and found out we were having a BOY! For all of you skeptics out there, our baby was showing off and it was very apparant. I asked Dr. New since it was so early (we found out at 19 weeks with Aiden) was it truly a boy. He said definitely! With girls, possibly not that early, but with boys, yes! So we are totally excited for Aiden to have a brother. The boys will be 2 years and 8 months a part. A good age difference we think.
Back to present...I will have a level 2 sonogram on Tuesday, July 17 (18 weeks) and then another routine visit with Dr. New on Friday, July 27 (19 weeks). The reason for the level 2 sonogram is really and truly just precautionary. Aiden only had 1 artery and 1 vein and you are supposed to have 2 arteries and 1 vein. We didn't find out though until a week before his was born, so NICU was called in at our delivery. All was fine and nothing was wrong, just a healthy little baby. So with this little guy, Dr. New wants to know ahead of time that all is well and NICU won't be called in with this delivery. Yeah! Better pictures and more of them! We fully expect there to not be anything out of the ordinary as this preganancy is a dream, but your prayers would be appreciated.
As for Aiden, he is awesome! We go to the movies every week on Tuesday at the Southlake Harkins Theater ($2) and he loves it! Today we stayed home so I could get housework done (boo) so this morning we played outside, took Saber to the vet (routine visit) and finger painted before a nap. Aiden was too busy to eat lunch so I hope the grapes sustain him. :)
Toodles for now...I'll post some pregnancy pics later when I'm on my other computer. I have no idea on how to link my blog with other blogs, so let me know how if anyone has read this far. :)
