Today.......
Well, we’re at the hospital now and getting all checked in. The doctor came in and broke Mindy’s water at about 7:45, so the process has begun! She was dilated to a 3 and 70% effaced. They put her on patocin(sp?) to speed up the contractions, but she was actually already having minor contractions. She’s still having those sporadically, but they are minor (her words, not mine!). No epidural yet either, but I asked for one as soon as we got here! :)
Mindy’s currently under a mountain of paperwork - she’s been through three pens and is now learning to write left-handed!!! :)
OK – more later. I’ll try to keep you updated as things progress (yeah, like I’m doing anything!!!)

UPDATE FROM YESTERDAY'S EVENTS: Yesterday (December 12, 2007) was our 3rd every week appointment. I was dilated to a 2 ½ (almost a 3) and more than 50% effaced so Dr. New said our little guy was ready. He is expecting our little one to be between 7 ½ to 8 ½ lbs so we thought delivering now was a good option (only a few days early). After all, babies aren’t fish and you don’t get a prize for the biggest one. So this is what spurred on a delivery. Yeah!
