Today is A's real birthday (April 15). This morning I had A and myself showered, fed and dressed by 8:30 am (impressive huh!). I was giving C a bath when A came in to make silly faces at C. No problem. The next thing I knew, A was playing in the sink with water all over him. Uggg! So I had to quickly finish up with C (complete bath, lotion, dress, only ten minutes of feeding - for my baby - yeah right) and change A. Into the car, stop (yes we are already late) to get birthday donuts and get to Dr. Shori's for C's 4 mo appointment and A's 3 yr appointment at 10 am. Of course A was mad about the donuts because he wanted to go in and pick them out.
A checked out perfectly! He is right on track for development and speech and is an overall healthy 3 year old! A is 38 3/4" tall and 35.9 lbs. Funny....now that he is 3 the Dr. isn't telling me % or head circumference any more. I guess it isn't important now. For the next year, we'll be working on drawing shapes, full name, address, phone number and writing his first name.
We rushed home to let the dogs out, feed C and a bathroom break before rushing off to pick up a birthday lunch at Chick-fil-A, A's favorite fast food, all on the way to Dr. P's downtown office by 2 pm. Whew! A got a perfect review from Dr. P so all of his "boyhood" is perfectly normal and good to go!
On the way home, we stopped by Marble Slab for A to pick out his very own birthday cake. The icecream cake of choice was an oreo cookie and sweet cream combination. Yummy! Below is A's official 3rd birthday pic and then some others from our family party! Enjoy!
