Happy 6 months C!

Can you believe that my little C is 6 months? I absolutely can't! It seems as though we brought our tiny baby home from the hospital yesterday and then...poof! Today he is 6 months old!

We had our well visit with Dr. Shori and she said he is PERFECT! Of course we all think our little ones are the smartest and brightest and of course they are. They are ours! Please allow me to brag...Dr. Shori said that C was above average in that he was already sitting up on his own, unassisted because he was so strong! She said that most babies are sitting up assisted at 6 months and that unassisted sitting comes at more like 7 or 8 months. Yeah! She also said that looking back over his chart, that C was above average on most of his milestones! Yeah! When we were leaving she said, "I won't be surprised if he walks in here at 9 months!" Hold the phone...let's hope that C isn't walking by then! Although, he is starting to pull his legs under him like he is thinking about crawling. Please, not yet! Please stay my little baby as long as you can....not likely since A is a mover and shaker. C, I'm sure, wants to keep up.

Stats: My little C weighs 22lbs 11oz (100%), 28 inches long (90-95%), and 17 inches in head circumference (45-50%). Dr. Shori said that he was very proportionate in all categories and looked great! On to solids! We will start rice cereal on Monday, as we will be at the lake this weekend and I don't really want to haul all of that out there when we are just starting out. Plus I like to video all of the "firsts" and I know S will want to be out on the lake quickly. So we'll start all of that on Monday.

Skills: sitting unassisted (several seconds to a minute and then wants to be on his belly to twirl around and get a toy that he wants), squealing the cutest little squeals, twirling around on his belly, rocking like superman on his belly, pushing up and scooting backwards from his arms, jumping in his exersaucer and loving it, and everything from before...rolling back to front, front to back, sleeping through the night, sleeping on his belly, etc.

C absolutely loves Harley (our white lab)! He thinks she is so soft and rolls to get by her! He loves her soft fur and thinks it is histarical when she shakes her ears and they flop around her face! A is still his favorite friend and loves playing with him! A can make C laugh any time!

On to the real reason you stop here....pictures! Here are his 6 month pictures (taken 6/12/08)! Happy birthday to my darling C! Thank you for blessing our lives richly! I was a little scared if I could love another baby as much as I loved A. Boy...what a blessing two children are! A true blessing and joy from God! There is just somehow more room to love both of you with! I love you more than you will ever know!
