Facebook or Blogger?

Some of my friends have been begging me to join Facebook. I was like, yeah right. Then a friend of ours was only posting pictures of her newest addition on Facebook so if I wanted to see her little guy I'd have to join an "become friends" LOL! Anyway, kind of getting used to it after playing a little tonight. Looks like a lot of instant messages and nonsense about what people are doing at the moment instead of the bigger picture and event postings. What's your take? Facebook, Blogger or Both and how do you use them? Can't wait to be enlightened.
