So I promise to post more pictures, including the ones of C crawling and pulling up. I can't believe this but my little guy is holding on to anything that moves and is walking with it! Scott wants to get down A's little car that he got for Christmas when he was 8 months old, which is C's age now. I totally don't want to...I know he'll just start walking.
Funny how I loved it when A did all of these new and exciting things. I encouraged him to roll over, crawl, eat bites of food, pull up and walk. I'm just reeling as C does all of these things, as it seems time is passing me by at lightening speed and my baby is growing up way too fast! Don't get me wrong,(and yes I am encouraging C to do all of these important things and reach the appropriate milestones) I love that C is growing and developing and is right on track but come on...I think the thing is I don't want to admit that while my kids are growing up, I'm getting older! I'm my parents! "Do you remember when? Back in my days....When I was little....Years just fly by!"
It just seems like A's first year crept by at a snail's pace and C's is approaching a year quicker than I care to admit. I'm cherishing every day with both of my sweet boys and taking it all in!
My friend, K Blake, was saying that Kidd was reading the same letter to his daughter on the air as she went to her first day of college that he read to her on her first day of Kindergarten. Crazy, but I remember that day (the station airs in Houston as well)! Can't believe it has been 13 years! And I can't believe it has been almost 3 1/2 years since I brought my first little guy home from the hospital as his Mommy! I'm a sucker for this!
Since carrots, we have added pears, prunes (for a day...do you know what they make you do...baby cleanse) and now corn to the diet (this week), along with cheerios! Yesterday, C and I were at Wal-Mart (I just love a late afternoon when Scott is working from home and can keep an eye on A) and I lost track of time. Partly because I watch stopped working and partly because I only had one boy, the trip was a breeze and I was just doting on C, giving him kisses..all the stuff you do with just one. Anyway, he got hungry and went through the few puffs I had in my bag. So I opened the Cheerios and thought, "why not". He's eating them with ease and LOVES them. Bye-bye puffs and hello Cheerios!
