a-MUSE-ing Moments: 9 months

Not pregnant, but wish I was. Hopefully in 1 1/2 years or so this will be the post title.

My precious, little Caleb is 9 months old! He turned 9 months on September 13, but I didn't want to overshadow his news by Ike's. His appointment went fabulous. Dr. S said he is checking out perfectly...above on some things and average on others. All in all, one perfect, little punkin!

Stats: 25 lbs 12 oz (100%), 30 in tall (95%), and head circumference of 17 3/4 in (50%). To put this into perspective, theses were basically A's stats at 18 mos. Will C be taller? Time will tell.

This past Thursday (9/18), C started clapping. He was surprised by himself and I just added to the excitement by clapping my hands while he was clapping his and saying in a high pitched, excited voice, "Yay, Caleb! You are clapping!" What a sweet smile and coos I received! I know this sounds a little backward and I was concerned by this not occurring, as of the office visit. Dr. S said not to worry and that it would come between 9 to 12 months. Of course, it did! I think C will be that child that will do everything after I ask the question, just to make me look like a basket case!

His iron is a little low, so C has been enjoying more of God's fabulous green vegetables and meat. Since the 8 month post, C has added Homestyle Chicken soup (hated it), oatmeal, peaches, spinach and potatoes, baby goldfish, Yo-Baby yogurt, Wild Alaskan salmon and sweet potatoes (what a high roller), egg yolk, Cars-shaped pasta with steamed spinach, and for today... split pea soup with carrots and chicken. C is doing quite well with feeding himself, so I'm getting creative with all of the foods I can throw in to make a well-balanced, easy to pick up dinner.

I've already said that C is standing on his own, so other than that, not much happening. Busy with life and life is good! Enjoy the 9 month pics!
