This Spring we decided to do a few things with the yard. The yard? I know, it sounds kind of funny but the inside of the house wasn't bad.....the walls need a few touch ups with the paint but everything else looked great! Since we are planning on hanging out under the trees with loved ones for the next 6 months or so, we decided to focus our attention outside. We hired Chemlawn to come and take care of the weeds that are ever so green and try to encourage the St. Augustine grass. Next, we hired Barco to install a well. This was a big hit with the boys and since they were here for an entire week (ran into several springs under the house), we were able to see a lot of the process. I even thought it was really cool!
This is the trailer and all of the heavy equiptment.
This is the trailer with the equiptment that got stuck in our yard
because the ground was too soft from the rains.
These are the wheels that have left permanent tracks in our yard.
This is the huge tank that is buried below the ground to collect the water to supply the well.
The biggest hit! My boys LOVE tractors!
This is the tractor that was used in the process.
The big rig that drilled our well.

Our well was drilled a little over 100 feet down and is a constant 68 degrees F. FREEZING water!! Why a well? We use it to water our lawn and fill our pool. The greatest thing about our well is that we can water every day, all summer long, without having to adhere to the summer water regulations that the city will impose and enforce at some point during the summer. Plus, it will save us money on our water bill! Hopefully, we will have lush, green grass and sparkling flowers all summer long!
We also hired Just Add H2O to install a sprinkler system for our 3/4 acre lot. Whoohoo!! No more hand watering for me! I didn't mind at the other house, but this yard is truly too big to do. I still have a few spots where I will be watering flowers, but that isn't an all day affair like the yard.

Happy Spring to all!!
